The objective of this Invitation to Bid (ITB) is to enable Florida State University (FSU) to enter into a purchase order (PO) with a Respondent to provide all labor, materials & equipment necessary to complete the replacement of four 500 HP 480V variable speed drives in a new location and install a new 900 HP variable speed drive at the FSU Magnet Lab (NHMFL) as specified in the Construction Documents. The FSU Magnet Lab (NHMFL) is located at1800 E. Paul Dirac Drive, Tallahassee, FL 32310. This work will take place during an 8-week operational shutdown taking place between May 20, 2024 and July 12th. Scope Summary: o Demo 4 x 500 HP ABB VSD's and 2 Terminal Cabinets per Project Drawings. o Install Owner Supplied 2 x QED Switchboards per Project Drawings o Install Owner Supplied 4 x 500 HP SCHNEIDER VSDs in new locations and connect to panel boards and motors per Project Drawings o Install Owner Supplied 900 HP ABB VSD and filter reactor and connect to switchgear and motor per Project Drawings o Install a separate ground in the cable tray per Project Drawings. o Owner will be responsible for shutdown, lockout and restart of equipment and factory testing of variable speed drives and pumps. o Owner will be responsible for control wiring to all new variable speed drives. o See attachments for details of owner supplied equipment and materials.
