Renovation of a mixed-use development in Pittsgrove, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The work consists of selective demolition, Structural modification/repairs to catwalk and accessory supports for theatrical equipment, replacement of theatrical/stage rigging, curtains, lighting, control system and upgrade sound system. Provide technical control desk and acoustical wall panels. Saw cutting existing flat and sloped concrete slab to provide new aisle lighting. Remove existing carpet and vinyl base and replace with new carpet, LVT and rubber base. Paint walls and ceiling in entire Auditorium including existing grilles, footlights, and door frames. Touch up/repair existing finishes at new work tie-ins beyond the Auditorium. Remove and replace existing theatre seating Arthur P. Schalick High School 2024 Auditorium Upgrades. The Work consists of Auditorium Renovations including but not limited to the following, (see the construction documents for details): 1. The Contractors are strongly encouraged to verify all existing condition, dimensions and areas prior to submitting a responsive / responsible bid. Site visits can be arranged through the interim Facility Director, Jason Mills, email: jmills@pittsgrove.net, cell: (856) 491-1917. 2. Dispose of material according to state and local code and Section 01524 - Construction Waste Management. 3. Restore all grades, lawns and pavement to pre-construction condition. 4. The contractor is required to submit a construction work schedule. Work can begin during normal working hours as soon as possible. Working hours are from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm Monday through Friday. Coordinate all work activity with the Owner for work occurring outside normal hours. Any work approved to be performed after August 23, 2024 shall be done in accordance with a schedule to be established with the School District after the project is awarded. All work shall be scheduled in accordance with the local noise ordinance. 5. During the complete duration of the Work, the Contractor must maintain the continued operation and function of all services and systems including, but not limited to, fire alarm, data, network, information technology, security, audio visual, electrical and HVAC. If a disruption to a system occurs, the Contractor must immediately take all actions necessary to restore the system at the earliest possible time. Any required shutdown of any system needs to be coordinated and scheduled with the Owner. 6. The Contractor shall provide a single full-time onsite Superintendent / Foreman who is present for all work at all times including, but not limited to, subcontractor work. The Superintendent / Foreman is responsible to maintain a daily log of all personnel onsite. 7. Record all necessary existing conditions, adjust exact materials and methods (including additional trim to cover signs of renovation) as required and submit via shop drawings for Architect's review within 45 days of receiving an executed contract. 8. Provide final clean up to include removal of all debris, dust, dirt and stains on all affected walls, floors and other surfaces. Glass or other dangerous items will not be tolerated if left at a completed area. 9. Coordinate installation so that safe egress from the building is maintained at all times. 10. Bids Shall Be Addressed to the Owner Whose Name Appears in Paragraph 1a of the Instructions to Bidders; They Shall Be Mailed or Delivered to the Address Stated Herein, Enclosed in an Opaque Sealed Envelope, Clearly Marked With the Name of the Bidder and the Name of the Project as Described in This Notice to Bidders; and Must Be Received by Not Later Than the Time Designated in This Notice to Bidders. No Responsibility Will Attach to Architect or Owner for Premature Opening of a Bid Which is Not Properly Identified. Bids Must Be Accompanied by a Certified Check, Bank Cashier's Check, Treasurer's Check or Bid Bond in the Form Provided in the Contract Documents, With Corporate Surety Satisfactory to the Owner, in an Amount of 10% of the Base Bid, but in No Case in Excess of $20,000.00, Pursuant to N.j.s.a. 18a:18a-24, Naming as Payee or Obligee, as Applicable, Pittsgrove Township Board of Education, to Be Retained and Applied by the Undersigned as Provided in the Contract Documents in Case the Successful Bidder Defaults in Executing the Agreement or Furnishing the Bonds and Insurance Certificates as Required by the Contract Documents. The Owner is Requesting That Copies of the Public Works Contractor Registration Certificates for Bidder and Its Named Prime Subcontractors Be Included in the Bidder's Bid Package, but the Bidder Must Provide Copies of the Certificates No Later Than the Time of Award. Pursuant to N.j.s.a. 52:32-44 All Business Organizations That Do Business With a Local Contracting Agency, Including Bidders and Named Prime Subcontractors, Are Required to Be Registered With the State Through the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue. The Right is Reserved to Reject All Bids Pursuant to N.j.s.a. 18a:18a-22 or to Waive Minor Informalities, Defects, and Non-material Exceptions.
