Dakota County will receive single prime sealed bids to upgrade the fire alarm system at the Wentworth Library located at 199 E Wentworth Ave, West Saint Paul, MN 55118 This project will replace the current Simplex fire alarm system in the building with an addressable Honeywell Notifier fire alarm system. Replacing all the devices reporting to the fire panel as well as bring the building up to code. All work for this project will be occurring outside of the building's business hours (Monday-Thursday 9 AM to 8 PM, Friday-Saturday 9 AM to 5 PM, and Sunday 1 PM to 5 PM). The current Fire Panel is a Simplex 4002. No oral, telegraphic or telephonic bids or modifications will be considered. Submit with each bid a certified check or acceptable bidder's bond payable to Dakota County in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total base bid. The successful bidder is required to furnish satisfactory Labor and Material Payment Bond and Performance Bond each equal to 100% of the total contract amount. Bids may not be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the bid opening. It is anticipated the county will consider award of the project a few weeks after bids have been submitted and reserves the right to accept any bid or to reject any or all bids, or parts of such bids, and waive a informalities or irregularities in bidding.
