GOC5491566 - 4905 Dufferin St. Toronto, ON Study to replace existing electronic card access system and CCTV. Current system is propriatary to TYCO and has surpassed life cycle although continues to function with limited warranty under current supporting service maintenance agreement. System is considered to be mostly tenant equipment due to sole occupancy of the facility and will require recommendations and class D estimates to split costs between tenant ECC and Landlord PSPC. Furthermore, a breadown is required to determine equipment and costs to seperate the Lab building system and Main building Systems with fuctionality. Consultant should provide all necessary paperwork to BGIS to complete a business case for each system replacement. GOC3692103 - 19 Lisgar St. Greater Sudbury, ON Study Only: Complete Fire stop/fire separation study. All areas of the building are to be inspected and deficiencies are to be identified in the report. Class D estimate to be provided to repair deficiencies. Consultant to provide drawings to identify location of fire separations on each floor. Assess adequacy of fire separations and fire stopping in the building in comparison with the National Building Code of Canada and determine and identify any area within the fire separations that require modifications to comply with the current NBC. Areas that are considered fire separations include, but not limited to, corridors, exit stairwells, service rooms/spaces, mechanical rooms, electrical rooms, boiler rooms, elevator shafts and janitor closets. Scope will include penetrations through fire separations, doors, door openings, and hardware for stairwell doors, fire exit doors, doors to mechanical rooms, electrical rooms and janitor's closets and ducts requiring fire dampers. Also, noted penetrations in mechanical rooms, electrical rooms, janitor's closets, and vertical shafts and ducts must be fire stopped at the appropriate fire rating and meet the intend of LEED VOC Enviromental Regulations. Study should include cost to correct deficiencies in fire separations. Consultant to provide drawings identifying fire separations and the deficiencies and provide estimated cost to correct identified deficiencies. The report shall consist of four (4) sections: - Section 1: Description - Describe the existing building and indicate all the different major occupancy requirements as per code. - Section 2: Condition - A detailed visual assessment of each element of the building against the technical and code requirements (including site visit logbook with names and dates). - Section 3: Deficiencies - a summary of each element of the building that does not comply with the National Building Code and National Fire Code (including plans, pictures of the deficiencies, room and door number references and the reference to the standard articles); - Section 4: Recommendations and Costing - a list of each element that need to be revised to achieve compliance with the code, as well as order of magnitude costing for every major items (e.g. fire separations, means of egress, fire dampers, doors/frames).
