While most of the planning to-date has assumed construction of a new courthouse in the same footprint of the existing Public Safety Building, that also presents a significant challenge and cost in relocating staff and functions out of the Public Safety Building to a temporary location while the Public Safety Building is razed, and the new courthouse is constructed. County staff have investigated alternate locations for the new courthouse that would eliminate the need for temporary relocation and razing of the Public Safety Building. The site recommendation will be led by the Design Consultant with input from the project team, concluding the selected Construction Manager.
