Site work and new construction of a detention facility in Kalispell, Montana. Design plans call for the construction of a detention facility; and for site work for a detention facility.
Plans call for the proposed new county detention center and $2.5 million for expansion of the 911 system. The Sheriff’s Office is set to spend $1.15 million on vehicles and equipment upgrades and replacements. Other plans call for the public safety expenses total $8.34 million. As of September 5, 2025, this project will be included in the general bond election ballot on November 4, 2025. Further details regarding firm construction and completion timelines have not been released.
