The Town of Essex is soliciting the Request for Prequalification (RFPQ) from those individuals or companies with pertinent expertise, capabilities, experience and are interested in being considered as pre-qualified bidders to be placed on a roster of service providers for municipal drainage works. The intention of this RFPQ is to obtain responses to determine a short list of qualified bidders that will be eligible to submit a detailed Request for Quotation by Invitation for municipal drainage works under the Drainage Act which will be issued by the Town of Essex subsequently. Under normal circumstances, responses to the Request for Quotation by Invitation will be due 7 days from issuance. The Town of Essex is under no obligation to issue or to initiate the subsequent Request for Quotation by Invitation even if a pre-qualified short list of proponents is created successfully under this Request for Prequalification. It is also the intention under the subsequent Request for Quotation by Invitation to enter into the agreement with a single successful bidder for each project, although there may be circumstances where more than one bidder is selected for every single project. Submission of a prequalification response indicates acceptance by the respondent of all of the terms and conditions contained in the Request for Prequalification unless clearly and specifically noted in the submission.
