Aggregate stone delivery The Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC) is soliciting bids for delivery of aggregate: 1000 Tons of Wall Rock & 600 tons R6-R8 (clean with minimal fines). The wall rock may be limestone or hard sandstone of pieces ideally 7-8 feet long, 3-5 feet wide and 2-3 feet thick. The tendency towards square and angular stone is preferable rather than toward round. The stone is to be delivered to staging area on an access road known as Well Road on State Game Lands #084 (40.732651, -76.588615). The materials and delivery must comply with the requirements of this contract. Contractors are strongly advised to use steel-bed, 22-ton dump trucks to haul this material. Bidders must provide a bid for the delivered cost of the material per ton. One purchase order will be issued for this project. Bid amounts must be in dollars and cents: no fractions of a cent will be accepted. As further guarantee of faithful performance of the conditions set forth in this Contract, the successful bidder hereby agrees to furnish the Commission with Cashier's or Treasurer's Check, payable to the Pennsylvania Game Commission, as bond in the amount of $5,000.00. Acceptable forms of bond are Cashier's or Treasurer's Check, Letters of Credit, Bonds from Security Companies, or Certificates of Deposit. Cash, personal checks, or business checks are not acceptable. Bond must be paid to the "Pennsylvania Game Commission" and received at 3917 Memorial Highway, Dallas PA 18612 prior to the commencement of any work and on or before 4 p.m. within 10 business days after the date this contract is awarded. Bond may be mailed. Address attention to "Kevin Wenner, 2024 Woodrat Condos Project." Any security posted must have an expiration date a minimum of 2 months beyond the expiration date of the contract identified on the fully executed purchase order. Bids must be submitted on the form provided and submitted according to the directions on the bid form. A location map showing the project site and stone delivery requirements are included. The Commonwealth reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, to waive technical defects in bids and to accept or reject any part of the bid deemed in the best interests of the Commonwealth. Except as otherwise provided by law, award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. A purchase order will be executed with the lowest responsible bidder shortly after the bids are opened. Payment will be made according to the rules of the purchase order.
