The purpose of this RFQ is to invite proponents who have the necessary qualifications and experience relative to the scope and nature of this project to provide quotes to process (crush, screen, and stockpile) the existing granular material stockpiled within the ET Yard into specified gravel products for use for future AFP projects within the Kananaskis Improvement District. Mobilization/Site Preparation and Site Maintenance: Including, but not limited to, snowplowing, site grading, and maintenance as required to establish access, set up work area, andmaintain work area. Contractor is to notify the Province upon completion of Site Preparationworks to allow for the Province to coordinate pre-construction survey prior to commencinggravel processing. The Contractor is not to modify the ET Yard in any way outside of the extentsspecified in Appendix B without approval from the Province. Processing of Gravels: Gravels are to be crushed and screened to Des 2 CL 25 gravel and 25-80mm Drain Rock, as specified in Appendix A. Processed gravel products are to be stockpiledseparately within the Contractor Work Area, as shown in Appendix B. Oversize rock is to beseparated from the source material as determined by the Contractor and stockpiled at theexisting riprap stockpile within the ET Yard. Specified quantities of processed gravels areapproximate and subject to change at the direction of the Province based on Quality ControlTesting results and the Contractor's ability to produce consistent products meeting thespecified requirements. For the purposes of bidding, Contractor is to use quantities specified inthe Pricing Schedule. Quality Control Testing: Aggregate samples are to be taken daily for laboratory testing of eachmaterial produced. Testing is to follow ATT-25 Part 1 and ATT-26 standard procedures. Initialgradation testing to be provided within one (1) day to determine optimum processing andsizing arrangement. Subsequent test results are to be provided to the Province within three (3)
