VACAVILLE UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT ("District") is located at 401 Nut Tree Road, Vacaville, California 95687 and serves more than 12,000 students. District facilities include (17) school sites, an administration office as well as (3) charter sites. Through this Request for Proposal (RFP), the District is seeking proposals in order to identify and select the most qualified CalSHAPE Design-Build Contractor ("Contractor") for implementation of projects at (18) District sites within the District (collectively, the "Project") based on the designated Scope of Work attached hereto as Exhibit C. Question Deadline 02/26/2024 at 2:00 PM PT Questions and requests for clarification on this Request for Proposal must be submitted in writing via e-mail No inquires after this date and time nor verbal inquiries will be addressed. It is the District's intent to partner with the selected Contractor to negotiate and execute an Agreement based on the criteria provided in this response to provide and serve as a design-built entity and a single POC for the implementation of the scope of work and CalSHAPE projects associated and related to the approved funding for qualified school sites as outlined in Exhibit C Section 00 8000 Special Provisions. The Vacaville Unified School District's Board of Trustees ultimately makes all decisions on the strategic direction and budgetary allocations for the CalSHAPE program. Therefore, all initiatives and plans laid out by the Facilities Department will require ultimate approval of the Board. Owner Rights: The District reserves the right at its sole discretion to not move forward with a project even after selecting a Contractor through this RFP. Each responding firm to this RFP should be prepared and equipped to provide full service to the District in an expeditious and timely manner and on relatively short notice so as to enable the District to meet critical time deadlines and schedules. The District also reserves the right to: Cancel the Request for Proposal (RFP) Modify any requirements contained within the RFP and request a revised response from all respondents. Establish other evaluation criteria determined to be in the best interest of the District. Liquidity Damages: Commercial General Liability Insurance in an amount not less than $1,000,000 combined single limit per occurrence for bodily injury and property damage, $2,000,000 aggregate. Said insurance shall cover all operations of Consultant, including but not limited to broad form property damage liability and personal injury liability endorsement. Commercial Automobile Insurance (including insurance for hired vehicles) with a limit of not less than $1,000,000 combined single limit per occurrence for bodily injury and property damage. Bond Notes: The Contract Documents include this Agreement (including all exhibits and attachments); the Request for Proposals under which this Agreement was awarded; all permits required by law, the approval of this Agreement by the District, the Performance Bond; the Payment Bond; the District's Standard Construction Specifications, except to the extent modified herein or specifically modified in the technical provisions of the Contract Documents; Construction Documents prepared by Entity and approved by the District in accordance with this Agreement; any project-specific specifications or documents; all duly issued Addenda, Interpretations, Field Instructions; Written Directives, Supplemental Drawings, Entity's Guarantee and Bond; the Contract Schedule; Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (whether prepared by the District or Entity); and any and all supplemental agreements amending or extending the Work contemplated and which may be required to complete the Work in an acceptable manner. Supplemental agreements are written agreements covering alterations, amendments or extensions to the Contract Documents and include Change Orders.
