Renovation of a medical facility in Richmond, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
The purpose of this Request for Pre-Qualifications (“RFPQ”) is to invite interested Communications OSP Contractors (“Respondents”) who are qualified to install and splice outside plant (OSP) fiber optic cable to submit Responses indicating their interest in and qualifications for the B116-00 RCH Campus Fiber Optic Interconnect Project and the B530-00 BUH Campus Fiber Optic Interconnect Project. Based on these Responses, Fraser Health Authority (“Authority”) intends to select, in accordance with the terms of this RFPQ, a short-list of Respondents will be invited to participate in the next stage of the Construction Tender process. The Phase 2 scope of the RCH Campus Fiber Optic Interconnect Project is as follows: 1. Installation approximately 1280m meters of armored single mode ribbon 144F fiber cable in the diverse service entrances connecting the Columbia Tower to the CPPS. 2. Installation approximately 500 meters of Maxcell inner duct in the diverse service entrances connecting the Columbia Tower to the CPPS. 3. Splice approx. 334 ribbons in FOSCs in FHA manholes and Fiber Enclosure Cabinets (FECs) along with quality control assurance (testing). 4. Installation of Fiber Optic Entrance Cabinets (FECs) in FHA communications rooms in the ACT, HCC and CT, 144F ribbon fiber stubs with LC/UPC cassettes (pre-term assemblies), inner duct and fiber patch panels. 5. Augmentation of the existing Norscan Cable Monitoring System. 6. Completion of a range of maintenance tasks relating to manholes and FOSCs. 7. Grounding of all installed components as applicable by industry and manufacturer’s standards and the latest municipal, provincial and federal codes, by-laws or rules and regulations. 8. Labelling all installed components as per FHA standards. 9. The provision of Record Drawings and maintenance documentation as prescribed by FHA. The Phase 1 scope of the BH Campus Fiber Optic Interconnect Project is as follows: 1. Install approximately 4800 meters of armoured single mode ribbon fiber cable in empty conduit. The fiber strand counts are 144 and 432. The physical topology of the fiber network will be comprised of two 432F rings around the entire BH campus. Individual buildings are then connected to these rings by cables of varying strand counts installed in diverse services entrances. 2. Install approximately 800 meters of Maxcell inner duct in the diverse service entrances connecting the Phase 1A, expanded Support Facilities Building (SFB) and the existing Nursing Tower (NT) to the CPPS. 3. Fiber Optic Splice Closure (FOSC) installation (quantity of 12 of FOSCs to be installed), fiber optic cable splicing (approx. 195 ribbons in addition to expressing ribbons) and quality control assurance (testing). This work occurs within FHA manholes. 4. Installation of Fiber Optic Entrance Cabinets (FECs) in FHA Communications Rooms, 144F ribbon fiber stubs with LC/UPC cassettes (pre-term assemblies), inner duct, fiber patch panels, fiber optic cable splicing (approx. 212 ribbons) and quality control assurance (testing). 1. Installation of a Norscan Cable Monitoring System. 2. Grounding of all installed components as applicable by industry and manufacturer’s standards and the latest municipal, provincial and federal codes, by-laws or rules and regulations. 3. Labelling all installed components as per FHA standards. 4. The provision of Record Drawings and maintenance documentation as prescribed by FHA The estimated project budget for both the RCH and BH sites is $1,000,000.
