Landscape Maintenance Services at Plant City Airport The Authority is seeking a qualified Respondent to provide landscaping services at Plant City Airport. The Authority intends to solicit and award three (3) separate contracts for Peter O. Knight Airport (TPF), Tampa Executive Airport (VDF), and Plant City Airport (PCM) to the lowest responsible, responsive respondent for the work at each airport. The same respondent will not be awarded a contract for more than one airport. Should the same respondent be the lowest responsive and responsible respondent for more than one airport, the Authority will select which location the respondent will be awarded based on the lowest overall cost to the Authority. The next lowest responsive and responsible respondent will be awarded the next location. Respondents may respond to each Solicitation but are not required to do so. Background The Authority was created in 1945 and is an independent special district governed by the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority Act, Chapter 2022-252, Laws of Florida (Act). This Act provides that the Authority will have exclusive jurisdiction, control, supervision and management over all publicly-owned airports in Hillsborough County. The Authority owns and operates Tampa International Airport (Airport) and three general aviation airports: TPF, VDF, and PCM. The Authority contracts with two separate firms for management of the general aviation airports. TPF is a 139 acre facility located six miles southeast of the Airport, five minutes from Tampa's downtown business district, Convention Center, and many local attractions, and is strategically located on Davis Islands across from the Seaplane Basin Park on Tampa Bay and The Port of Tampa cruise ship terminals. VDF, a 407 acre facility, is located 12 miles east of the Airport. PCM, a 199 acre facility, is located 22 miles east of the Airport. The Authority is seeking qualified landscape services for PCM as detailed in Attachment A, Sample Contract. The Services include, but are not limited to, mowing of approximately 7 acres (Mowing) and maintenance of approximately 0.51 acres of landscape beds (Landscape Bed Maintenance). The background information provided in this Section is intended only to give prospective Respondents a brief familiarization with the Authority and the general aviation airports. All general aviation airport data provided as part of this Solicitation is for informational purposes only and should not be construed as a guarantee of business. The information shown herein has been obtained from sources considered to be reliable. However, the Authority and its Board, officers, employees, agents, and contractors are not liable for the accuracy of the information or for its use by Respondent. Respondent must examine and inspect this Solicitation and all its appendices, attachments, and exhibits to be knowledgeable of the requirements and terms and conditions. Respondent must independently evaluate circumstances and conditions that may affect its Quote and its ability to provide the required Services. Contract The Contract for Landscape Maintenance Services at Plant City Airport, including all exhibits, schedules, subsequent amendments and attachments thereto, executed by and between the Authority and the Awarded Respondent. Term of Contract The initial Term of the Contract is April 2, 2024 through April 1, 2025 with two, one year renewal options at the sole discretion of the Vice President of Procurement. The Authority will have the right to terminate the Contract by giving thirty (30) days written notice to the Awarded Respondent. Refer to Attachment A, Sample Contract for specific provisions of the Contract relating to Term, termination, renewals, and rights and obligations.
