Site work and paving for a civil project in Oak Park, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

In general, the improvements consist of the removal of the existing alley pavements and garage aprons; installation of storm sewers and drainage structures; installation of concrete alley pavements and garage aprons; parkway restoration; and all appurtenant work thereto. All prospective bidders must prove they are pre-qualified by the Illinois Department of Transportation in order to submit bids. This project is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/0.01 et seq. Owner Rights: The Village of Oak Park reserves the right to issue plans and specifications only to those contractors deemed qualified. Bond Notes: The MWRDGC requires that contractors entering into contracts shall have a performance bond and a payment bond. The Contractor shall furnish a satisfactory performance bond in the sum of the amount of the contract in dollars guaranteeing the proper completion of the work and the maintenance of the work during the period of one (1) year from and after the date of the completion and acceptance of the same. The Contractor shall furnish a satisfactory payment bond in the full amount of the Contract guaranteeing payment of all material used and for all labor performed. The Contract will be subject to the requirements of the Multi-Project Labor Agreement. A copy is on file at the offices of the Engineer and may be requested from the Engineer. The Contractor shall execute the form entitled "Certificate of Compliance with Multi Project Labor Agreement (MPLA), as found in the Bid Proposal Submittal Packet. The bidder is specifically advised that the Village is a Subgrantee of a Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRDGC) grant, pursuant to an agreement entered into and between the MWRDGC and the Village. Each bidder is required to comply with the MWRDGC's Affirmative Action Requirements and Affirmative Action Ordinance. 1) $56,000 for Women-Owned Business Enterprises (WBE) and/or Minority-Owned Business Enterprises (MBE) 2) $8,400 for Veteran-Owned Business Enterprises (VBE) The DBE requirements listed within these Contracts are requirements, not goals.
