The Board of Education reserves the right to reject all proposals, to request clarifications or corrections to proposals received, to waive what it deems to be an informality in the RFP process, to waive what it deems to be technical defects, irregularities and/or omissions relating to a specific proposal, to negotiate any portion of the proposals received, to re-advertise and solicit additional proposals or to cancel this RFP if it is in the best interest of the District to do so. Proposals will be evaluated by the District. Any aspects of the service not addressed by the General Information and Conditions, or Specifications are left for the proposer to address. Alternatives to the General Information and Conditions, Specifications or additions to the Specifications are to be clearly identified by the proposer. SCOPE OF WORK: o Phase 1: Modular Block Retaining Wall & New Turf Field - Provide a competent inspector experienced in modular block retaining wall construction and soil and foundation inspections. Provide all field and laboratory testing as related to soil/fill and concrete. The inspector shall observe the earthwork, the removal of unsatisfactory soil, the installation of compacted fill, and observe and approve the bearing soil in the foundation excavations. Provide in-place density of the fill determined by Nuclear Density method. Ensure all fill will be placed and compacted in accordance with the job specifications. o Phase 2: White Plains High School Addition - Provide competent field inspector to inspect all soil and fill conditions. Provide inspection of proper placement of rebar, placement of concrete. Provide all laboratory testing of soils, fill, concrete strength. o For both Phase 1 and Phase 2 listed above, provide a Design Peer Review. o A complete list of services and testing items are listed within Appendix 10 The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
