Grayson County reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals, and to award based on the lump sum price. All delivery and freight charges are to be included in the price. Using new materials remove and construct approximately 10,285 linear feet of 7ft chain link fence, 2. With three (3) double drive swing gate openings (up to 24ft.) 3. Using four (4) inch full weight gate post, 4. 2- 7/8 (3 inch) SS20 terminal posts, 5. 2- 3/8 065 line posts, 6. 1-5/8 065 top rail, 7. 6 feet #11 gauge galvanized after weaving (GAW) chain link, and all galvanized pressed steel fittings, 8. 12-1/2 gauge barbless twist tension wire 9. Three (3) strands of 12-1/2 gauge four (4) point barbed wire above. 10. All posts to be set in high strength cement in accordance with AFA and TFA standards. 11. Gate to hinge on heavy, industrial grade, hinges and have traditional, lockable industrial drop bar. 12. Swing gate frames to be 1-5/8 inch welded frame. 13. Gates over 6 feet in length shall have "T" bracing and trussed. *Photos of the listed locations are provided in Attachment A at the end of the document. *Linear feet and locations are used as a guide. Contractor to confirm all fence measurements and gate locations. Any reference to model and/or make/manufacturer used in bid specifications is descriptive, not restrictive. It is used to indicate the type and quality desired. Bids on materials of like quality will be considered. Successful bidder shall defend, indemnify and save harmless Grayson County and all its officers, agents and employees from all suits, actions, or other claims of any character, name and description brought for or on account of any injuries or damages received or sustained by any person, persons or property on account of any negligent act or fault of the successful bidder, or of any agent, employee, subcontractor or supplier in the execution of, or performance under, any contract which may result from bid award. Successful bidder shall pay any judgement with cost which may be obtained against Grayson County growing out of such injury or damages. The apparent silence of these specifications as to any detail or to the apparent omission from it of a detailed description concerning any point, shall be regarded as meaning that only the best commercial practices are to prevail. All interpretations of these specifications shall be made on the basis of this statement. For facilities construction and some services contracts, a payment bond is required for projects/contracts exceeding $25,000. The payment bond must be for 100% of the value of the work to be performed. The bond shall be prepared on a form acceptable to the Owner and must identify compliance with the provisions of V.T.C.A., Govt Code, Chapter 2253.021 and state that all liabilities of the bond(s) shall be determined in accordance with the provisions of said code. The surety must be authorized to do business under a Certificate of Authority issued by the State of Texas and hold certificates of authority as an acceptable surety on the current Department of the Treasury listing as found in the Federal Register. The surety shall be a US company located in the USA. If a contract is awarded under $25,000, but subsequent change orders cause the price to exceed $25,000, a payment bond will be required immediately. Payment bonds will be required if the project bid price exceeds $25,000 and performance bonds (in addition to payment bonds) will be required if the project bid price exceeds $100,000. These bonds must be executed before work can begin.
