Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Concord, New Hampshire. Completed plans call for the construction of a educational facility.
The Concord School District (CSD) submitted a building aid application to the New Hampshire department of education in June of 2022. In April of 2023, the District hired HMFH Architects as the designer for the new middle school. The middle school pre-schematic design is based off drawings for a 212,000 square foot, grades 6-8 building. The Concord School Board recently selected a large parcel of undeveloped land totaling +/- 58.08 acres on the Broken Ground/Mill Brook Schools site. The school board, the administrative team and the Architects have held work sessions to help the board decide on the location of the middle school. In December of 2023, the board voted 6-3 in favor of building on the Broken Ground/Mill Brook site on Curtisville Rd. Construction management services proposals shall include as a minimum the following information: 1. Identification of principals of the firm. 2. Identification and qualifications of key personnel to be used, including the project managers and estimators as well as any support staff related to this project. 3. Specific construction management experience, on projects of similar program and scope. 4. Experience in school construction projects on occupied sites. A complete list of related construction management projects ranging from $50-$100 million completed during the past five years. 5. Total dollar volume of work completed during each of the past five (5) years to include original budget, change orders and final completion cost. 6. Narrative description of the firm's philosophy of construction management. 7. Proposed construction manager's fee, for preconstruction services from schematic design through preparation of final construction documents. Preconstruction services should include but not be limited to logistics, cost estimating (1) SD, (1) DD, (2) CD's, value engineering, maintaining overall project construction schedule, and constructability of architect's drawings at each phase. See Purpose and Desired Outcome below for more detail on required services. 8. Financial and past project references and proof of ability to secure performance and payment bond capacity. 9. List all current and past construction projects in the past ten (10) years. Include contact information. 10. A description of any current or past litigation, arbitration, or mediation, including outcome. 11. Other information, qualifications and/or exceptions as each construction manager may consider appropriate to the selection process. 12. This project will use Building Information Modeling and ask that you provide information regarding your firms experience and expertise in building information modeling]"BIM']. The District reserves the right to accept a proposal that is not the lowest bid. The District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive technical or legal deficiencies, to proceed or not to proceed with any proposal, or to negotiate without further process any contract as may be in the best interest of the District.
