Buyer Preferences, Guidelines & Requirements General Requirements - Bid Deposit Required - Insurance Required Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Payment Bond 100 % The City requires a certified or cashier's check, or a corporate surety bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount before the City can accept or consider any bid for any bids greater than Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00). The bid and the deposit shall be filed with the Public Works Department, securely sealed, and endorsed on the outside with a brief statement as to the nature of the item or work for which the bid is provided. Upon a bid award, such bond shall be returned to the unsuccessful bidder(s). In the case of the successful bidder, the bid bond will be returned upon receipt of the required payment and performance bonds, each in the full amount of the contract price.
