The Town of Foxborough, the Awarding Authority, is seeking Bids from experienced, qualified general contractors and subcontractors for the DPW facility renovation and expansion project located at 70 Elm Street The scope of work is for the construction of a Public Works Facility Expansion & Renovation and associated supporting infrastructure. Project consists of the following scope of work: - Sitework, including new pavement, utilities, stormwater, site lighting and power - Removal of existing underground fuel tanks and provision of new above ground fuel system - New diesel generator - 10,000 sf new construction addition of vehicle maintenance bays and wash bay, including pre-engineered building with masonry base, insulated metal panels, metal roof, commercial overhead doors. MEP/FP systems, including rooftop units, radiant floor heating, domestic hot water, fire suppression, electrical and fire alarm systems. New industrial maintenance equipment, including vehicle lifts, overhead fluids distribution. Interior finishes include painting, limited amount of resilient flooring. - Work in existing building includes: New masonry walls and finishes in limited area. Back feeding of existing gas and electric utilities. New Fire Suppression system and fire alarm upgrade Sub Bid Divisions: 4,5,7,9,13,15,16, GC Filed Sub-Bid categories include masonry; miscellaneous metals; roofing and flashing; waterproofing, damp proofing, and caulking; painting; fire suppression; plumbing; HVAC; and electrical for the project. The selected contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond in amount at least equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price as stipulated in Section 00 72 00 GENERAL CONDITIONS of these specifications. The Town of Foxborough reserves the right to reject any responses or any part thereof in response to this RFB or take any other action as the Awarding Authority may deem to be in its best interest.
