SUNY Upstate Medical University (UMU) is seeking qualifications of architectural/engineering firms to lead projects that may involve the renovations, modifications and reconfiguration of the interior, exterior, and building infrastructure systems of SUNY Upstate University Hospital, Community Hospital, and all Upstate owned campus buildings. The projects scopes may include but are not limited to hazardous material removal, commissioning, modifications to building structure, envelope, interior configuration and/or building infrastructure systems including architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, fire alarm, communications, audio-visual and/or other systems. Services may include planning, studies, investigations, feasibility studies, condition assessments, and full design and construction phase services. The planning studies may include investigative assessment of the underlying causes of existing conditions, construction phasing, impact analysis, cost estimates, utility load studies and/or other services. Services will be requested and contracted on an as needed basis and the type and value of each project will vary. The focus of this solicitation is to select three (3) Architectural firms to provide architectural and /or engineering expertise on various design/construction projects over a three (3) year term. NYS Executive Law Article 15-A and University policy require campuses, and the consultants with whom they do business, to make a good faith effort to procure materials, supplies, equipment and services (including printing) from NYS certified minority- or women-owned businesses (M/WBEs) and meet University established goals for M/WBE participation in contracts. State University of New York goals are: 15% MBE participation and 15% WBE participation of the total contract value and 6% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business participation goal. The State University of New York Upstate Medical University reserves the right to reject any or all Qualification packages.
