Installation of approximately 4,960 linear feet of 8 and 6 ductile iron water main, approximately 950 linear feet of HDPE service piping, fittings, fire hydrants, ductile iron gate valves, temporary water main bypass and other related water system work on Fiske Street and Bailey Road. 2. Installation of approximately 4,500 square yards of trench paving and all other related work as specified. 3. Installation of a temporary above ground water main bypass system. 4. Removal and disposal of existing asbestos concrete water mains as required to allow the installation of the proposed water system. 5. Other miscellaneous work items. 6. Implementation of a Traffic Management Plan. BID SECURITIES shall be in amount of 5% of the bid and in the form of a certified check drawn upon a bank within the State of Massachusetts or a bid bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Massachusetts, made payable to the OWNER. Notification of any rescheduling of the bid opening date will be posted to as an addendum. The work involves the following major item(s): Installation of approximately 4,860 linear feet of 8 and 6 ductile iron water main, approximately 950 linear feet of HDPE service piping, fittings, fire hydrants, ductile iron gate valves, temporary water main bypass and other related water system work on Fiske Street and Bailey Road. Additional work includes approximately 4,500 square yards of trench paving, and all other related work as specified. The successful bidder must furnish a 100% PERFORMANCE and PAYMENT BOND and will be required to execute the Contract Agreement within ten (10) days following notification of the acceptance of his Bid. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept any bid, to waive any informality on bids received, and to omit any item or items deemed advisable for the best interests of the OWNER.
