This project consists of safety improvements: replacing the ladder system and platforms within the Bascule Towers, fall protection and upgrading the HVAC system to increase de-humidification. GENERAL PERMIT #GP-2023-0282.AWU The Work consists of the following improvements to the Longhorn Dam: General: a. Implementing laydown area and material storage plans, including required reseeding, erosion and sedimentation controls and tree protection, and cleanup, b. Implementing the traffic control plan, c. Laydown area fencing, and d. Demolition and removal of some hydraulic piping, controls, grating, intermediate steel grating supports, ductwork, and ladders. e. Lead abatement, removal and disposal of doors of bascule gates. Civil improvements: f. Installing two piezometers and capping the 8" collector drainpipe with a 6" Jetfilter, g. Installing Tell-Tale crack monitors for wingwall movement h. Remove vegetation from rock riprap and grout for riprap repair. Structural improvements: i. Modifications to gratings within Bascule Gate Piers & grating supports, j. Safety Gates inside the Bascule Gate Piers. k. Ladder and fall protection system within the Bascule Gate Piers, and l. Supports for HVAC and electrical improvements. Mechanical improvements: m. Cylinder leak repairs, n. Piping leak repairs, and o. Air handling unit, ductwork, and controls for fans added to the Bascule Gate Piers. Electrical improvements: Furnish and install all conduit, wire, support hardware, electrical distribution equipment, junction boxes, pullboxes, etc. associated with: p. Bascule Gate Pier interior lighting replacement, q. Power for Motorola audio system r. Conduit relocations for ultrasonic sensors that obstruct stop log guides at the BasculeGate Piers. s. Power for Air Handling Unit system, t. Power for Sump Pump system u. Panelboard replacement within Pier 5 v.
