Scope of Work The Contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, equipment, and supervision to install three 1500-gallon sealed concrete septic tanks with risers, specifications listed below. The scope of work includes replacing the septic tanks only. There are no drain fields to dig or connect. All tanks are connected to a house on one side and a WWTP lift station on the other. Contractor is responsible for maintaining all necessary insurance and licenses as required. Contractor shall provide documentation before work can begin. Work Dates: Contractor must coordinate work dates with the park. The work will commence no later than 30 calendar days after contract award and completed within a fifteen (15) business day period. The cabins will be closed for service during the performance of the work. Park contact is Sam Sweeney at (276)613-3144. Any deviation from this schedule must be approved in advance by the park. Work Hours: All services shall be performed, unless mutually agreed upon by the Contractor and the Park Representative, during normal business hours, between the hours of 8:00 A.M. TO 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, except for State & Federal Holidays. Scope for Services 1. Contractor must pump septic tank prior to removal. 2. Park Staff will contact VA811 to have all utility lines marked prior to start of work. 3. Prior to ground disturbance, contractor must check for subsurface obstructions and/or utilities. 4. Contractor shall dig and remove and dispose of old septic tanks. 5. Contractor shall provide risers to ground level with secure lid. 6. Contractor shall remove old gravel and replace as needed or explain in the specifications sheet as to reason why this step is not needed. 7. Contractor shall re-plumb tank drainage to existing pump tanks. 8. Contractor shall test drainage with garden hose including pouring water into pods to ensure drainage prior to installation of new gravel if new gravel is found to be needed. 9. Contractor shall provide and install new gravel if needed. 10. Contractor shall agree to park supervision during project and provide pictures at each stage of replacement as confirmation of stage completion. 11. Proper compaction around septic tank to include substrate in which tank is set upon. 12. Ensure input and outlet baffles are in close proximity to the existing buried pipe entering and exiting the tank. 13. Proper compaction around tank to include substrate in which the tank sits upon.
