Only bid proposals from approved general contractors will be accepted. The project consists of renovations to Girard Intermediate School to include interior finishes and lighting, paving, awnings, and miscellaneous work, a new classroom building at Morris Slingluff Elementary School, a new classroom addition to Highlands Elementary School, new tiered seating at Dothan High athletic fields, and new parking lot at Dothan City Early Education Center A cashier's check or bid bond payable to Dothan City Schools in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgement, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted. General Contractors will be notified of pre-qualification to bid on or before Friday, February 9, 2024, at which time plans will be available for distribution per above requirements.
