This project may contain Federal Funds. This project requires 26% DBE participation, or if the contract goal is not met, documented evidence of good faith efforts. The Complexity Factor for this project is 0. The Consultant who is selected for this project and all Subconsultants the Prime Consultant will be using are scheduled to attend an initial meeting on May 2, 2024, at 9:00 AM at the Region One/District One Office in Schaumburg. Phase III engineering services are required to provide construction engineering for subject improvement. Work includes, but is not limited to, removal and replacement of the Foster Avenue bridge over I-90 S.N. 016-1100 (Exist.) with S.N. 016-1669 (Prop.), which will improve vertical clearance. The work includes a new center pier located in line with the WB I-90 median barrier wall, roadway reconstruction and resurfacing. Other items of work include ADA ramps, intersection channelization, traffic signal modernization at the WB I-90 exit and entrance ramps, underpass and roadway lighting, drainage improvements along I-90 and Foster Avenue, retaining wall repairs, pavement markings, and incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the improvements as shown in the plans.
