Renovation of a multi-residential development in New York, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
All questions related to this RFQ are to be submitted via email to the CPD Procurement Unit at acm.procurement@nycha.nyc.gov with the RFQ number as the Subject line by no later than 2:00PM on 02/22/2024. Proposers will be permitted to ask additional questions at the Proposers' Conference. Responses to all submitted questions will be available for public viewing in Sourcing under the RFQ. Please indicate the RFQ number in the subject line. All questions and answers will be posted in iSupplier and will be available for view by all. Project Duration: 2 Years / 730 Days Development: Bronx River Houses 10 Buildings (Buildings 11 and 12 are not in scope) 1245 Residential Units Bidders are reminded that the safety of residents, workers, and public in large are NYCHAs utmost priority during construction. Contractor must adhere to and comply with the requirements of Tenant Protection Plan (TPP) and Site Specific Safety Plan (SSP). Scope of Services 1. Abandonment of existing underground steam and condensate piping. Existing steam and condensate piping at each building will be cut back and capped before the buildings as indicated on plans. Existing penetrations will be reused for new piping and enlarged as required to accommodate new piping and anchoring system. 2. Installation of new underground steam and condensate piping as indicated in the drawings. New underground steam and condensate piping to use building existing penetrations. 3. Installation of three new 2” spare communication conduits between buildings as indicated in the drawings. Provide pullboxes and manholes as indicated. 4. Replacement of existing steam zone control valves and pipe fittings as indicated in drawings. 5. Placement of backfill shall be made with soil that is free of organic material, construction debris, or boulders. The surface shall be restored and replaced after the installation of piping. 6. Existing site surfaces to be restored consist of site asphalt pavement, concrete sidewalk, curbs, vehicular paths, lawns, concrete slab. 7. Routing of all piping shall avoid critical tree root zones and avoid or minimize potential conflicts with existing buried utilities. 8. Backfilling, patching, replacing, re-painting (as-required) grounds near Building 4. Coordinate with NYCHA for standards of all items and materials affected. Refer to civil drawings for additional details. 9. Coordinate shutdowns with facility and ongoing boiler and domestic water heater replacement projects. 10. Buildings 11 and 12 are not in scope. 11. Phasing must be coordinated with ongoing site-wide boiler and domestic hot water project. Temporary boilers are being provided under that project at the central plant.
