They are not doing the full project and only are doing the part and not the parking lot part.** East Lynne 40 School District is seeking established vendors that are competent, knowledgeable, and possess past experience in Installing and maintaining commercial sized parking lots to bid on the construction of a gravel parking lot at the East Lynne 40 School District in East Lynne, Missouri. Increasing demand for vehicular parking and as such, this project aims to create a durable, well functioning parking area that meets or exceeds the specified requirements. The work also includes a smaller gravel area for bus parking, upgrading (leveling) the recreational field and installation of below grade drainage features or swales. Topsoil may be used as fill material in the new sports/recreation field area or near the building as discussed below. The parking area subgrade support should be relatively uniform, with no abrupt changes in the degree of support. The parking area subgrade should be adequately sloped to provide rapid drainage to an approved location or into newly installed drains, as necessary. Add gravel to the existing gravel entrance that will connect to the new parking area. Finished grading with positive drainage shall also be performed within the new sports/recreation field area and the south side of the fine arts building. Topsoil taken from parking lot subgrade areas may be used as fill material in these areas. Installation of below grade drainage features or swales to carry water away from the parking lot subgrade, playing field or building may be necessary. Contractor shall determine the need for additional drainage features prior to submitting the bid. During regrading of the area near the fine arts building, the existing HVAC units shall be raised off the ground and attached to the fine arts building. A commercial grade woven geotextile fabric shall be placed across the parking area in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations. A minimum thickness of 6 inches of 1 inch crusher run aggregate should be spread and compacted across the new parking area. The final gravel surface shall be smooth with minimal undulations Alternate material may be considered based on cost and performance, Install curbs or barriers, where needed, to prevent vehicular traffic from striking buildings or other structures. Seeding in the regraded playing area and near the building. Complete any necessary erosion control measures. Clean and inspect the site after completion to ensure all trash is removed and the site is neat and presentable. The project is expected to commence on June 1,2024 and should be completed by July 31, 2024. Contractors must provide a detailed construction schedule in their bids.
