Estimate: $4,000,000.00 Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows: 1. Two natural gas generators at existing Lift Stations. 2. Approximately 10,000 linear feet of 12- and 24-inch sanitary sewer replacement and 6-inch water main replacement. A Bid Bond in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each Bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Sweeny or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The successful Bidder must furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bond upon the forms which are attached hereto in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price within 15 days after receipt of the Contract Documents. See the requirements for Performance and Payment Bonds, immediately after the Agreement, for additional information. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing Davis-Bacon and Related Acts wage rate, as issued by the Department of Labor and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin. Adherence to the City of Sweeny Section 3 Policy is required for all contracts. The City of Sweeny reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by City of Sweeny for a period not to exceed 90 days from the date of the Bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the Bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. All questions must be answered, and the data given must be clear and comprehensive. This statement must be notarized. If necessary, questions may be answered on separate attached sheets. The Bidder may submit any additional information it desires.
