As of March 27, 2025, an engineer has been selected for the project. Construction is estimated to take place in 2026. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Expression of Interest (EOI) for Engineering and Design Services for Replacement of Large Culvert PIN#576508 Larkin Road/Franklin Gulf Bridge (Culvert) in the Town of Eden. The Town of Eden Highway Department is requesting engineering services proposals from NYSDOT Engineering Consultant firms for this project. The Project will utilize Bridge NY 2022 funds, estimated at $700,000. One consultant will be selected for a two (2) year contract with a one (1) year extension, to provide design and construction inspection services necessary to complete this project. The project will be progressed as a federally funded culvert project passed through NYSDOT with the Town of Eden Highway Department as the Sponsor. The project will be subject to compliance with the "Procedures for Locally Administered Federal Aid Projects". The project contract will start sometime this Spring and the selection of a consultant will be based on the following: Ability of staff to meet scheduling deadlines. Please name the key staff members and roles in the project. Familiarity of the Town of Eden and the familiarity of dealing with Federal and State requirements and permitting. Project Management - How project communication is anticipated during all the project phases. Experience in bridge and culvert design and construction projects. The above factors will be weighted at 25% for each bullet point.
