This project consists of a voluntary seismic upgrade of portions of Einstein Elementary School. The steel frame portion of the building, which houses the gymnasium, kindergarten, music, and kitchen areas are the primary areas of work. Work is anticipated to include removing interior finishes to access structural members for retrofit and restoring finishes like-for-like, with limited electrical, plumbing, and fire alarm/sprinkler restoration as needed for the finish removal/repair. Bassetti Architects and PCS Structural Solutions are onboard and studying retrofit options.
