SAK Construction, is seeking qualified subcontractors suppliers for the Charleston Water Services West Ashley Sewer Tunnel Extension Tunnel Project in Charleston, SC. Subcontracting opportunities include but are not limited to paving replacement, spoils haul-off, traffic control, pre-post construction video & photography, site grading, temporary concrete structures; cellular grout backfill; steel sheet piling; open cut pipe; utility relocations; shaft drilling; clearing & grubbing, erosion control, geotechnical instrumentation installations and construction material testing. Supplier opportunities include but are not limited to ready-mix concrete, grout, concrete reinforcement, aggregates, crane mats; construction materials supply, tunnel & shaft support materials, safety supplies, and construction equipment rental. SCI IP GRANT NO. A-23-C033 1. GMP-1 base scope includes the Work to be performed under these Contract Documents with scope generally described as follows: a. Construction of the Croghan working access shaft and temporary tunnel supports for tunnel construction. b. Utility relocation of existing 12-inch ductile iron pipe watermain c. West Ashley Greenway path relocation d. Croghan site preparation for mobilization of tunnel boring machine (TBM) for tunneling work. e. Croghan Screen Cleaning: Contractor shall clean the existing Croghan approach structure screen during performance of the Work up to three (3) times per calendar week. Screen cleaning is required when sufficient sewage debris has collected on the screen to prohibit passage of flow from the existing approach structure influent sewer to the access shaft. Screen cleaning is also required prior to significant wet weather events. Contractor shall clean the screen (1) when directed by Owner who will monitor the weather forecast and water surface elevation in the approach structure remotely through the existing SCADA network, and (2) when screen headloss exceeds 12-inches as manually observed by Contractor during Ownerapproved outages which disables Owner's remote monitoring capabilities of the approach structure water surface elevation through SCADA. Screen cleaning shall consist of using a long-handled rake or other suitable means to retrieve debris deposited on the screen face, depositing the captured debris in a watertight container, and transporting the container to the Croghan site access for collection of the debris by Owner. Cleanings shall be coordinated and scheduled with Owner so captured debris is transported by Contractor to the collection location for immediate collection by Owner. Cleaning will be performed between the hours of 8:00AM and 5:00PM during any day of the calendar week when required cleaning conditions are met. It is anticipated Owner will utilize a vacuum truck to collect debris from Contractor's watertight container
