The Board of Trustees for Absarokee School District, Absarokee, Montana will receive sealed proposals from general contractors for the furnishing of labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary for the following construction project: ABSAROKEE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PARTIAL RE-ROOF 327 WOODARD AVENUE ABSAROKEE, MONTANA Bids will be received for a single General Contract by a qualified prime roofing contracting firm with 10-years (minimum) documented experience installing thermoplastic membrane with 3 projects of similar scope and size within the last 3- years: including Architectural, all roofing materials & Mechanical and Electrical work. All roofing contractors must be certified by the roofing manufacturer Bids shall be accompanied by bid security in accordance with Instructions to Bidders for 10% of the total bid. Said sum to be in the form of lawful monies of the United States or a cashier's check payable to the Owner, or a bid bond as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. The Successful Bidder shall be required to furnish to the Owner, within ten (10) days of the bid's acceptance, Performance Bond and Material Payment Bond, each in an amount not less than 100% oAf the contract price. The Contractor and their subcontractors will comply with the Montana Contractor's Law and shall have a Certificate of Registration from the State of Montana, Department of Labor and Industry, Employment Relations Division. Contractors shall comply with all fair labor practices and must meet the requirements of State of Montana Statutes, among which require that preference be given to the employment of Montana Residents and must pay the prevailing rate of wages to workers performing labor on the contract. Pursuant to Section 15-50-206(2)(3), MCA, the Owner is required to withhold one percent of all payments due the Contractor and is required to transmit such moneys to the Montana Department of Revenue as part of the public contractor's license fee. In like fashion, the Contractor is required to withhold one percent from payments to subcontractors. Preference is hereby given to materials, supplies, equipment, machinery, and provisions produced, manufactured, supplied or grown in Montana, quality being equal to articles offered by the competitors outside of the State. No bidder may withdraw his bid for at least thirty - (30) days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids, except as noted in the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities, to evaluate the bids submitted and to accept the proposal, which best serves the interest of the Owner.
