Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 90-unit multi-residential development; and 16,830-square-foot retail development.
New construction of approximately 90 mixed-income housing units, with main floor commercial spaces, on the site of approximately 16,830 square feet. The project involves the his project will be developed/owned by FRC or in partnership/collaboration with other entities. TIMELINE: AN RFQ for architects has been issued by the owner. Updates will be made upon award of contract, expected late March 2025. The project will be guided by a Net Zero Charter (NZC) developed and integrated through pre-design, schematic design, design development and through to commissioning. The NZC will comprise a set of guidelines and actions aimed at achieving net-zero carbon emissions for the development. It will guide the form and composition of the project along with the other Owners Project Requirements (OPR). Our goal is to maximize the number of carbon-reducing initiatives to achieve the greenest multi-family housing feasible, with a maximum total energy use intensity (net-TEUI) of 80 kWh/m2.
