The Scope of Work is to Clean and Paint Select Areas Inside and Outside of 16 Weathering Steel Box Girder Bridges on I-95 and I-395 South of the Fmt. The Work Will Involve Shielding of Work Areas, Abrasive Blasting, Recovery of Cleaning Medium and Debris, Application of Sealers, Primers and Topcoat Paint, and the Application of Bridge Numbering. The Work Does Not Include Cleaning and Painting of The Exterior of Box Girder End Diaphragms or Box Girder Connecting Diaphragms. Maintenance of Traffic, Typically Shoulder Closures, Will Be Required During Off-peak Traffic Periods to Set-up Shielding And Equipment and to Deliver Supplies. The Project May Involve Structural Steel Repairs Discovered During the Bridge Cleaning Operations.
