The purpose of this Invitation To Bid (ITB) is to solicit competitive sealed Bids to furnish the Gym Floor Replacement Project for Poinciana High School for the use of The School Board of Osceola County, Florida (School Board). 1.0 SCOPE 1.01 This Specification establishes the minimum requirements for this solicitation, listed and described in the body of these specifications, to be used as noted, by the School Board. 1.02 AWARD TERM The successful Bidder shall be awarded a contract for the completion of the Gym Floor Replacement Project for Poinciana High School and to establish a fixed price per the terms and quantities specified herein. 1.03 SCOPE Work performed under this contract shall include all labor, materials, equipment necessary to provide the completion of the Gym Floor Replacement Project for Poinciana High School. This project includes but is not limited to: The full replacement of the wood floor at PNHS, and to be finished with a water-based coating. The flooring shows signs of buckling in areas that have been previously repaired with nail heads protruding though the wood, creating a hazard to the playing area for students and staff. Total Square footage is 18,000 SQFT (FISH records show 16,664 SQFT) Contractor to field verify total SQFT of area. Remove and replace entire gymnasium wood floor. Separately attached (Attachment A) are the minimum specifications for the installation and products used. If bidding an alternate product provide all specifications and product cut sheets with your bid submittal, it is at the sole discretion of the School District to determine if the alternate product is deemed and equivalent. Contractor must submit with the bid letter from manufacturer stating the Contractor is authorized to provide and install the products they have submit for. Provide the Manufacturers Warranty information. Contractor must provide Grade 2 wood on main floor, and grade 3 on the remainder of the court. Contractor will verify functionality of the bleachers before and after new floor is installed. Contractor will need to ensure that the floor is reinforced for the distance the bleachers extend onto the floor to prevent and deformation and buckling/warping the new floor. The main paint area (on both ends of main court) to be same blue as the "P" logo instead of the current red and will keep the same layout that is currently in place, like for like striping, decals, logos, colors on the 2 side courts. Check Moisture levels in concrete below the floor. Ensure all sleaves are functional and meet regulation after installation. Contractor is required to ensure that all Floor outlets or sleeves in the floor are flush with the finished floor and do not pose any hazards. Repair/ Replace cove base surrounding the interior of the gym floor.
