Renovation of a mixed-use development in Charlotte, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Wallis Residence Hall Roof Replacement Each proposal shall be accompanied by a cash deposit or a certified check drawn on some bank or trust company, insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, of an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal, or in lieu thereof a bidder may offer a bid bond of five percent (5%) of the bid executed by a surety company licensed under the laws of North Carolina to execute the contract in accordance with the bid bond. Said deposit shall be retained by the owner as liquidated damages in event of failure of the successful bidder to execute the contract within ten days after the award or to give satisfactory surety as required by law. A performance bond and a payment bond will be required for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Bids will be received for Single-Prime contract from licensed General Contractors only. The scope of work includes: a. Work for this project will occur during summer break. b. Main Building 01.01: Remove existing shingles and Install self adhering ice & water shield. Mechanically attach new architectural type shingles and flashings. Install new Gutters, collector heads, and down spouts. c. Passageway 01.02: Remove existing membrane and insulation. Torch apply one ply of modified bituminous base sheet. Install new insulation and coverboard. Install new two-ply modified bitumen membrane and flashings. d. Tower 01.03 steep slope areas: Remove existing shingles and install self adhering ice & water shield. Mechanically attach new architectural type shingles. and flashings. Install new Gutters, collector heads, and down spouts. e. Tower 01.03 low slope areas: Remove existing membrane and insulation. Torch apply a modified bituminous base sheet. Install new insulation system and cover board. Install new two-ply modified bitumen membrane and flashings. Install new railings as shown on detail drawings.
