The Parish of Caddo has various locations that require vegetation management of all weeds, grass, and brush within the limits of all the public rights-of-way of all highways in the Department of Public Works system and according to the attached road list. It is the intent of these bid specifications to obtain competitive bids from qualified vendors who are interested in providing vegetation management. The successful contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, material, chemicals, and traffic control devices necessary for weed control operations as defined in these specifications. Licensing Requirements: Louisiana Department of Agriculture & Forestry: Pesticide & Environmental Program Division requires one of the following licenses: Ground Owner/Operator License with a certification in Right-of-Way & Industrial Pesticides. Bids shall be submitted on an official proposal form furnished with the bid package or in an envelope clearly marked as: IFB: 24-01, Parish Vegetation Management for Right-of-Way and Drainage Canals The Parish of Caddo reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any and all bids and to waive any and all technicalities and informalities in accordance with the state law. The term of the contract shall be for one (1) year beginning on the date of execution of contract. The Parish of Caddo reserves the right to renew automatically this contract for up to four (4) additional one-year renewal options under the same terms and conditions. The Parish of Caddo will automatically renew the contract on each option year unless written notice is given to the vendor/contractor that the contract is not renewed.
