The City of Tamarac is seeking to engage qualified firms to submit proposals (RFQ’s) for the Design/Build of the Citywide Precast Buffer Wall Pine Island Road North Project along Pine Island Road (NW 88th Avenue). The proposed project site is located on the west side of Pine Island Road between NW 79th street and NW 81st street, Tamarac, Florida 33321 (see site map attached herein as Exhibit 1). The proposed work shall include, but not limited to, site preparation, demolition, construction & installation of approximately 1,667 linear feet of a new pre-cast concrete buffer wall system with a decorative keystone limerock style finish on front face of wall panels (Pine Island Road & local street side) and associated work, grading, tree removal/protection, utility relocations, coordination of private utilities relocations, coordination with Broward County, restoration, landscaping and sod installation. City reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, to waive any informalities or irregularities in any Proposals received, to re-advertise for Proposals, to award in whole or in part to one or more Proposers or, take any other such actions that may be deemed to be in the best interests of the City. The City of Tamarac encourages the active participation of minority businesses, women’s business enterprises and labor surplus area firms as a part of any subsequent agreement whenever possible either as prime contractors or subcontractors.
