Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Mogadore, Ohio. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and road / highway.
Only ODOT Prequalified contractors are eligible to submit bids for this project. Pre-qualification status must be in the force at the time of bid, at the time of award, and through the life of the construction contract. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor s Executive Order of 1972, and Governor s Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Bidders must comply with Federal (Davis Bacon) wage rates. All steel products must meet the requirements of ODOT C&MS 106.09 Waiver Process for DBE Goals: See Attachment B , ODOT LPA Template, Item 23, Good Faith Effort (GFEs). Engineers estimate of cost for this improvement is $888,992.12. The Portage County Commissioners reserve the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids. The basis of award shall be lowest and best bid. Disadvantaged Business (DBE) Requirement. DBE participation goals (Subcontracts, materials, supplies) have been set on this project for those certified as DBEs in accordance with the TEA-21 (1998) and 49 CFR, Part 26, and qualified to bid with ODOT under Chapter 5525 of the Ohio Revised Code (O.R.C.). At the beginning following the project identification the DBE goal designation is written, i.e. DBE Goal: 10%.
