The City of Bellevue Transportation Department (City) solicits interest from consulting firms with expertise in civil, structural, and environmental engineering design. This agreement is anticipated to begin in June 2024 and will be for approximately five years in duration with the option for the City to extend it for additional time and money if necessary. Consultants will be considered for the Bellevue College Multimodal Connection project. The work to be performed by the Consultant consists of reviewing and refining preliminary engineering design and 30% design work already completed and developing 60%, 90%, 100% and final bid-ready design plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for improvements on Snoqualmie River Road between SE 32nd Street and SE 24th Street. The proposed improvements include widening the road to accommodate two lanes of traffic, enhanced transit facilities, revisions to existing signal systems to accommodate the proposed improvements including a possible roundabout or signal at SE 32nd Steet, and construction of retaining walls to provide for a multiuse sidewalk. A 19% mandatory disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) goal has been assigned for consultants working on this project.
