A. The work involves the replacement of existing freezers and coolers refrigeration equipment (evaporators and condensers), including piping, electrical power and controls as well as associated removals, cutting and patching of existing construction. The phasing of the work shall be coordinated with the facility and involves only taking one cooler or freezer out of service at time. Work on a freezer or cooler cannot begin until the previous worked on unit is back in service (to include start-up, testing and demonstration). The existing multiple compressor/condenser rack shall remain in service until all evaporators are replaced. B. The Contractor shall develop a project schedule and sequencing of work plan identifying all required equipment and systems shutdowns, durations and buildings affected. Contractor shall coordinate sequence of shutdowns for walk in coolers/freezers and track them in the project schedule. All shutdown requests must be approved by the Director's Representative. Submit shutdown requests, in writing, to the Director's Representative no later than 2 weeks prior to requested shutdown period.
