As of March 25, 2024, the project was awarded to Highway Materials, Inc., with an awarded amount of $403,024.75. The work will include approximately 1,445 tons of superpave wearing course, 6,400 SY of full depth reconstruction, 6,955 SY of bituminous pavement milling, 495 LF of underdrain installation and other related road work. Bidders must be online Prequalified for bituminous paving work, and all materials and suppliers must be online approved. The Successful bidder who is awarded the contract will be required to pay online a fee. The successful bidder is responsible for the fees associated with the awarded bid. Each Proposal for the Project shall be accompanied by a Certified Check, Bank Treasurer's Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond in the form provided by the Contract Documents, drawn to the order of Perkiomen Township, and in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid, as a guarantee that if the Proposal is accepted, a Contract will be entered into and the performance thereby properly secured. The work shall be substantially completed within Sixty (60) calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed, and as described in the Contract Documents. Proposals shall be valid for sixty (60) calendar days from the date of Bid opening. The work to be performed consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and appurtenances for road maintenance projects along multiple Township roads. Wages paid employees of the successful bidder shall be subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. The Board of Supervisors of Perkiomen Township reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids or portions thereof. Perkiomen Township also reserves the right to overlook or "waive" a bid defect, irregularity, deficiency or non-conformance provided that: (1) same is patently insignificant or technical; (2) the best interests of the Township would be advanced by the waiver; (3) the waiver would not give an unfair advantage to one bidder over another; and, (4) the waiver would not violate Section 3102 of the Second Class Township Code, 53 P.S. 68102, et seq.
