Notice is hereby given that the Public Works Committee of the Steuben County Legislature and the Commissioner of Public Works will receive sealed bids per specifications for: Title: Asphalt Concrete; Specified In-Place Project(s) on behalf of the Village of Wayland Document Number: PW-24-108-B Questions, concerns, and/or requests for clarification should be directed to: Andrew G. Morse Director of Purchasing (607) 664-2484. AMorse@SteubenCountyNY.gov All questions must be submitted in writing to AMorse@SteubenCountyNY.gov by February 15, 2024. completion date shall be September 3, 2024 The bidder shall include a fully executed original bid bond with its submittal. The bid bond shall be issued by a surety company authorized to do business in New York State. The bond shall be in the amount of five thousand dollars ($5,000.00). A certified check, Cashier's check, or a bank issued Irrevocable Standby Letter of Credit may be submitted in lieu of a bid bond. The awardee shall provide the Village with a fully executed original performance bond for each project it has been awarded. Each performance bond shall be issued in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the dollar value of each award. The performance bond shall be issued by a surety company authorized to do business in New York State. The performance bond shall be submitted to Mathew McCarthy, Supervisor, Department of Public Works on or within thirty (30) days of Notification of Award or prior to commencement of project; whichever occurs first. A certified check, Cashier's check, or a bank issued Irrevocable Standby Letter of Credit, may be submitted in lieu of a performance bond. The awardee shall provide the Village with a fully executed original payment bond for each project it has been awarded. Each payment bond shall be issued in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the dollar value of each award. The payment bond shall be issued by a surety company authorized to do business in New York State. The payment bond shall be submitted to Mathew McCarthy, Supervisor, Department of Public Works on or within thirty (30) days of Notification of Award or prior to commencement of project; whichever occurs first. A certified check, cashiers check, or a bank issued Irrevocable Standby Letter of Credit, may be submitted in lieu of a payment bond. The awardee shall provide a fully executed original two (2) year maintenance bond for each project it has been awarded. Each maintenance bond shall be issued in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the dollar value of each award. The maintenance bond shall be issued by a surety company authorized to do business in New York State. The maintenance bond shall be submitted to Mathew McCarthy, Supervisor on or within thirty (30) days of the Village's acceptance of the completed project. A certified check, Cashier's check, or a bank issued Irrevocable Standby Letter of Credit, may be submitted in lieu of a maintenance bond. The Village of Wayland reserves as its right, the right to require clarification from bidders for the purpose of assuring a full understanding of the bidder's responsiveness to the solicitation requirements. The Village of Wayland reserves as its right; the right to accept or reject any and all bids (or separable portions thereof), the right to waive irregularities and technicalities, and the right to request resubmittal of bids (re-bid).
