VDOT, is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide routine and emergency highway traffic sign maintenance, repair, and new installation services on the Primary and Secondary Road Systems within VDOT's Northern Region Operations (NRO), which includes the Counties of Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun and Prince William. Occasionally work may be performed in Caroline, Spotsylvania, Stafford or King George Counties. The contract resulting from this solicitation will be an on-call, as needed, requirements-type agreement. PERIOD OF CONTRACT: One (1) year from the date of award with 4 optional one-year renewals. Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Steve Ferguson at Steven2.Ferguson@VDOT.virginia.gov. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Provide questions no later than 2:00 PM EST on February 26, 2024. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, supervision, fuel, cellular phones, and all incidentals to perform highway traffic sign maintenance services for the NOVA District Operations within the counties
identified in Section I above. These services shall consist of installation of new highway traffic signs, complete sign replacements, post replacements, post straightening, application of Public Notice stickers, incidental brush removal and general sign maintenance. Other services may include sign inspections, assisting VDOT crews with the installation and maintenance of historic and other specialized highway traffic signs. The specific work items, locations and details will be provided to the Contractor by the Contract Administrator, or designee on a daily or weekly basis.
