The City of San Mateo (City) is soliciting written proposals from qualified firms to provide engineering design services for the City's pavement management program that is anticipated to include slurry seal, microsurfacing, rehabilitation, and reconstruction. The City intends to utilize this solicitation to select up to three consultants for the following projects: o Citywide Street Surface Treatment Package 4A-1 (referred to herein as PMP-4A1) o Citywide Street Surface Treatment Package 4A-2 (referred to herein as PMP-4A2) o Citywide Street Rehabilitation Package 6B (referred to herein as PMP-6B) o Citywide Street Rehabilitation Package 7B (referred to herein as PMP-7B) The street segments for each of the projects listed above are presented Appendix A to this Request for Proposal (RFP). The City seeks to secure the most qualified proposer(s) to perform professional engineering design services to develop construction contract documents including geotechnical investigation, topographic survey, preparation of pavement treatment options, preparation of plans, specifications, estimates, bidding support, and engineering services during construction. Proposals shall be submitted by firms that are capable and have a demonstrable background in the type of work described in Section III of this notice. In addition, all interested firms shall have sufficient, readily available resources in the form of trained personnel, support services, specialized consultants and financial resources to carry out the work without delay or shortcomings.
