Site work for a water / sewer project in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The City of Lebanon reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any irregularity in Bidding. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish the necessary Bonds and Insurance Certificates. The City will award this project based on the City's discretion and may or may not include any or all bid alternatives. All work included in this bid is dependent upon the bid amounts and available funding. Actual quantities are subject to change and will be based upon actual field measurements taken during construction. The City of Lebanon, New Hampshire is seeking bids for a project consisting of furnishing and installing 800 LF of 10-inch C900 PVC pressure sewer along Riverside Drive to Bank Street Extension including fittings and interconnections to the existing system. The project also includes installing 85 LF of 12-inch TR Flex DI pipe under the Packard Bridge. The City of Lebanon has pre-purchased the TR Flex DI pipe and the pipe is stored at the Lebanon Wastewater Treatment Plant. The Contractor will be required to pick up the pipe at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. The existing pressure sewer shall remain in service to provide continuous service until the new pressure sewer is constructed, pressure tested, and ready for service. At that time, the system will be shutdown, the interconnections shall be made, and the pressure sewer will be placed back in service. Riverdale Drive Pressure Sewer Realignment Project In the late 1980s, the City of Lebanon expanded its municipal wastewater system to serve residents along Route 4A and the Town of Enfield, New Hampshire. A combination of gravity sewers, pump stations, and forcemains deliver wastewater to the intersection of Route 4A and Route 4 where the system transitions into a pressure sewer. The pressure sewer follows Mill Road downhill to Riverside Drive, crosses the under the Mascoma River upstream of the Packard Bridge, and terminates at a control valve structure near Winona Farms Circle. The control valve opens when a preset pressure is reached and closes after preset time period. Last year, the 10" ductile iron pressure sewer main experienced substantial corrosion on the exterior of the pipe due to an aggressive environment near its crossing of Blodgett Brook. The Department of Public Works developed a Capital Improvement Project to realign the pressure sewer from the Macoma River crossing, across the Packard Bridge, to the existing pressure sewer along Bank Street Extension proposing polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe. This pipe material will be inert to the aggressive environment. The project consists of furnishing and installing 800 LF of 10-inch C900 PVC pressure sewer along Riverside Drive to Bank Street Extension including fittings and interconnections to the existing system. The impacted sections of Riverdale Drive and Bank Street Extension will be trench patched and then overlayed with a full width wearing course of bituminous pavement.
