Renovation of a municipal facility in Rockford, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

These detailed specifications are as accurate as possible. It will be the bidder’s sole responsibility to be all inclusive with labor, material and equipment necessary to remove and replace the roof system and replace 2 skylights at 526 West State Street. A. These specifications include the requirements for the removal and replacement of the roof system. a. Demo existing roof membrane and associated flashings, penetrations boots, etc. needed to provide a warrantable roofing system. b. Determine if the existing roof insulation can be re used, verify existing underlayment for dryness, remove any wet or damaged insulation material, and replace with new of like kind insulation. c. Provide all required perimeter and or interior flashings, termination bars, penetration sleeves, etc. as needed for a warranted system. d. Include demo and replacement of any required wood nailers/blocking required for a new roof system. e. Include walk pads from the roof access point 6 feet out. f. Replace all lumber currently supporting roof top equipment g. Replace all lumber currently supporting conduit/piping with rubber support blocks. h. The new membrane shall be TPO. i. The new membrane shale be fully adhered. j. The new membrane shale be white in color. k. Repair and coat, as needed, the parapet walls along Winnebago and State Street sides with a product compatible with the TPO membrane to ensure at least a 20-year warranty. l. All termination bars shall be new. m. Remove and dispose of old mini split unit. n. Repair/replace flashing where line set penetration was for old mini split unit. o. Rooftop units will need to be lifted and roofed under. p. All new substrate shall be ½” HD ISO board Bidders to Submit Their Questions :Submit by email to: purchasing@purchasing.wincoil.gov All questions must be submitted, in writing, to the Purchasing Department before the Bidder’s Questions Deadline. All answers will be issued in the form of a written Bid Addendum. Any questions and/or inquires may be directed, no later than the date provided in the Bid, or the latest Addendum. PERFORMANCE BOND REQUIRED: Within fourteen (14) calendar days of notification of Contract award, a Performance Bond for the amount of the Contract will be required from the successful Bidder and shall be valid throughout the life of the Contract. Failure to furnish the required bond within the time specified may be cause for rejection of the Bid and any bid deposit may be retained by the County as liquidated damages and not as a penalty. The County reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, or to accept or reject any Bid in part, and to waive any minor informality or irregularity in Bids received
