The Project consists of milling of various roads, totaling approximately 54,644 square yards. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding, when in the opinion of the Township, such rejecter's or waivers shall be in its interest or advantage. Upper Moreland Township hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to refuse any or all bids submitted, or any portion thereof and also reserves the right to waive any informalities in bids received. ALL WORK MUST START AFTER JUNE 3, 2024 AND MUST BE COMPLETED BY July 31, 2024 MILLING A. This work shall consist of the milling of bituminous pavement surfaces within and along the aforementioned roads at various locations along and adjacent to the concrete curb, gutter curb that has been overlaid, where directed by the Township. The milling width shall typically be seven (7) feet, and the milling depth (milling machine must have rubber protective pads on track) adjacent to the curb shall vary from one (1) inch to six (6) inches, and will typically be from one and one half (1 1/2 ) inches, as required to provide a curb reveal of seven and one-half (7 1/2 ) inches. The milling depth at the milling edge away from the curb shall be one and one-half (1 1/2 ) inches. The milling shall be performed adjacent to both standard 8: x 18" x 7: curbs, and combination curb/gutters ("L" curbs). B. All milling shall be performed in accordance with PennDOT Publication 408 Specifications including requirements for equipment and clean up. C. The milled surface shall fully extend to the point at which the pavement surface intersects the curbs, inlets and manholes. Contractor's responsibility to complete final clean up around curbs, manholes, inlets, etc. 1. Contractor will be responsible for street edge, across road at beginning and end of job. 2. Final Sweeping Locations- Orangesman Rd (Byberry Rd.(2009) to Pioneer rd Division Ave (Redbarn Rd to Moreland Rd Greyhorse Rd ( Terwood(2033) to Cowbell) Greyhorse Rd (Cowbell to Overlook) Linden Ave (Easton Rd(611) to Vesser Lane Fairhill St. (Yord Rd(263) to Patterson Pioneer Rd ( Orangemans to Centennial) Question Deadline 03/01/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be submitted to Engineer in writing. Replies will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by the Engineer as have received the Bidding Document. Questions received less than five days prior to the date for opening of bids will not be answered.
