Huntsville Utilities in Huntsville, Alabama is seeking bids for the Underground Utility Locating Services located throughout parts of Huntsville Utilities Service area. The scope of work includes providing underground utility locating services throughout various address in Huntsville Utilities Service Area as mapped out and called out by Alabama 811. Except for minimal contract supervision and occasional auditing, the contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and other materials needed for the work. The contract will be executed through one Notice to Proceed on a fixed unit priced contract. The period of performance for this service is one full calendar year; with option to extend two additional one-year periods based on mutual agreement. There is a no pre-bid meeting for this IFB; however, questions will be answered via electronic mail ONLY until 12:00 P.M. CDT (NOON) February 15, 2024. Phone calls regarding this IFB and questions received after the appointed date and time will NOT be answered. Only bids of such Contractors who are licensed prior to the date of the bid opening will be considered. A cashiers check or a bid bond payable to the City of Huntsville, Alabama, d/b/a/ Huntsville Utilities for an amount not less than 5% of the contractors bid, but in no event more than $10,000.00, will be required to accompany each contractors bid. Performance Bond, Payment Bonds and insurance will be required prior to execution of the contract. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of ninety (90) days. The right to reject any and all bids is reserved.
