Organization Overview Antioch Unified School District operates in Antioch, California, located along the San Joaquin/Sacramento River Delta in East Contra Costa. Antioch has a rich history and is one of the oldest towns in California, having been incorporated in 1872. The demographics of Antioch have shifted over the last two decades, reflecting a more diverse community across cultural and language metrics. Proposal Overview Antioch Unified School District is requesting proposals for a Community Needs Assessment (CNA). The District received a California Community Schools Partnership Program Planning Grant and the District intends for this Assessment to serve as a blueprint for how the District moves forward with its Community Schools model. The Community Needs Assessment (CNA) will be comprised of an in-depth canvas of school and community stakeholders to determine existing resource gaps as well as articulated needs, and conclude with a summary of data collected, a set of recommendations, and a PPT Presentation that can be shared with stakeholders and the District's Board of Trustees Description Antioch Unified School District received a California Community School Partnership Program (CCSPP) Planning Grant. This is a 2-year grant cycle that began 6/1/2023 and will conclude on 5/30/2025. The total amount available for this project is $100,000. As part of the District's application, we proposed to conduct a rigorous Needs Assessment of our broader school community to help us identify gaps in services and resources, and what types of supports the community would like. The results of this Needs Assessment will be the foundational blueprint for how the District builds its Community Schools Model and will also serve as the core content for the District's application for the Implementation Grant.
