The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following 1. Removal of existing 2 x 4 classroom light fixtures to be replaced with new LED light fixtures and controls. 2. The Work includes, but is not limited to a. The removal and replacement of classroom light fixtures b. Installation of new lighting controls c. HVAC replacement 3. The Work does not include: a. County and municipal permit fees, inspection fees and impact fees Offeror shall attach a Contractor Affidavit and Agreement demonstrating compliance with O.C.G.A. 13-10-91, Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act. Offeror shall also comply with provisions of O.C.G.A. 50-36-1, Verification of Lawful Presence Within United States through the use of the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) Program and shall provide verification of compliance with executed affidavits which are a part of the proposal packet. Bid bond in the amount of five (5%) percent of the base proposal is required and must be submitted with the proposal. Performance and payment bonds in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required prior to commencement of construction. All bonds shall be written by a surety licensed to conduct business in Georgia, listed on the Federal Register and acceptable to the Owner. A bid bond is the only acceptable form of bid security. No personal check, cashier's check, certified check or cash will be accepted in lieu of the bid bond. No proposal may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after proposals are opened. Owner reserves the right to waive technicalities and irregularities and to reject any or all proposals.
